Smt. Sadguna C. U. Shah Home Science and C. U. Shah Arts & Commerce Mahila College Has been established in 1988 with Home Science faculty. In 1990 We have started Arts faculty and in 1992 started Commerce faculty. Master in home science started in 2000. Research programme in home science started in 2007.

Empowering women through education is the motto of our institute. Building National Character & inculcating values among youth is the necessity of the time. Faculty takes active part in curriculum development. UGC-New Delhi recognized carrier oriented programme ( UGC – COP ) certificate courses has been introduced during 2005-06 academic year.

Through Home Science education we prepare modern women with scientific approach, family value, social responsibility and self-independency. They can compete in global market.
In Arts educations we teach Hindi, Gujarati, and Sanskrit literature. Now a day due craze of English, mother tongue and national language is being ignored. One should be proud of its mother tongue, and Hindi is our national language. Each and every Indian should be fluent in their language. We inculcate the values and proud to be an Indian and Gujarati.
Through Commerce education we prepare students for Computer, Entrepreneurship, Management, Human resource, Accounts, English, and Communication to stand in globalization & Business world.
Through Master Degree future Lecturers and Scientists are prepared.
Through traditional degrees & diplomas student’s can study the prescribed course of their faculty but cannot develop the skill or cannot be trained. For specific art, we have started UGC – COP certificate courses, which are job oriented and any student, can join any course. Each course is prepared on global demand, which is prepared by experts and taught by experts from different field.

To obtain Goal and Mission of the institute following steps are taken :

For intellectual development Debate, Competition, Quiz, Curricular & Co-Curricular Books, Magazines, Project work, Assignment & Seminars are arranged.
For academic development Practical work is there, Teachers day is celebrated, Lectures by visiting faculty are arranged.
Training makes one perfect. For skill development practical work, Computer training & Vocational programme are there so those who want practical training can opt for those subjects.
Our system of admission is such that those who are having lower percentage can’t get admission in any other college but in our college at graduation level we give admission on first come first base, so those students who are having less merit can also study.
Equity: There is so much gender difference in every field. In our college Women Employee are preferred for recruitment.
Self Development: For self-development of girls we arrange different competition like Mehendi, Hairstyle, Recipe, Salad decoration, we also give Seminar, Practical & Project work.
Community & National development: Our girls visit village, schools and perform Puppet show, play Bhavai on current issues. By joining N.C.C, girls develop their national character. In their syllabus girls go to village and make community survey nutritional survey. Girls visit Old Age home, Deaf & Dumb School, and Blind school & make survey work.
In Home science education environment management is a part of their syllabus, we also do Tree plantation on Environment day, NCC girls use to celebrate Cleanliness week.
Value orientation: Yoga, Karate classes, Sahakar classes are arranged & syllabus of the Home science includes Value based education, Family values, Child welfare, Girls education, Women’s law, Child rights are part of syllabus.
Employment: Home science education makes girls self-employed. They can became self-dependent by learning computer training & job oriented courses make them self-employed.
Information Communication: Technology based education is given in job oriented courses, computer is used for our Office work and Library.
Global demand:Computer education is must in all fields. Now in modern age global demand is for computer-trained person & English knowledge is must. To walk with time one should know computer.
